Yoshiharu Tsuge

Yoshiharu Tsuge was born in 1937. He grew up in impoverished circumstances, left school at the age of 14, and initially supported himself through odd jobs. In the 1960s, he became an influential Japanese cartoonist. Five films were based on his comics, and nine of his stories were adapted for television.
