Wolfgang Hochbruck

Wolfgang Hochbruck, born in 1959, is a German scholar of North American studies and cultural studies. From 1978 to 1990, he worked as a seaman, student, and journalist. After completing his doctorate and holding various academic positions, he completed his habilitation in 2001 and took up a professorship at TU Braunschweig. Since 2004, he has taught North American philology and cultural studies at the University of Freiburg. His research includes drama and theatre as well as cultural studies in security research. His publications include Die Geschöpfe des Epimetheus (2011) and Geschichtstheater (2013).
