Wilfried Meichtry

Wilfried Meichtry, born in 1965 in Leuk-Susten in the Valais, is a historian with a doctorate in history and German studies, as well as a writer and screenwriter. After studying, he worked as a secondary-school teacher and from 2002 was active as an independent writer and publicist. His books include “Verliebte Feinde. Iris und Peter von Roten,” “Mani Matter. Eine Biographie,” “Die Welt ist verkehrt, nicht wir. Katharina von Arx und Freddy Drilhon,” and “Nach oben sinken.” Several of his works have been adapted for film, and his literary and journalistic work has received various awards.
