Werner Goldschmidt

Werner Goldschmidt (1940–2019) earned his doctorate at the University of Marburg under Frank Deppe. From 1975 onward, he taught in Hamburg and became a professor in 1986, first at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Politik and later in the Department of Socioeconomics at the University of Hamburg. His research in political sociology focused extensively on Marxist social theory.
