Volker Zahn

Prof. Dr. med. Volker Zahn, born in 1940, is a German gynecologist. He served as head of the Department of Gynecology at Klinikum St. Elisabeth in Straubing and taught at a teaching hospital of the Technical University of Munich. In addition to gynecology, his fields included prenatal medicine, clinical environmental medicine, and nutritional medicine. He was a co-recipient of the Bavarian Environmental Medal for the first environmentally friendly hospital in Bavaria and co-authored the foundational work “Frauen-Heil-Kunde.”
