Virginia Mendoza

Virginia Mendoza, born in 1987, grew up in the 600-inhabitant village of Terrinches in La Mancha. She studied social and cultural anthropology and has published articles in newspapers and magazines in Spain and Latin America. During her childhood, her grandfather, who was responsible for the village’s water reserves, taught her the importance of water. Mendoza is the author of the book *The Search for Water*.
