Victoria Aveyard was born in Massachusetts and studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California. She became known for her fantasy series Red Queen, whose four novels—Red Queen, Glass Sword, King’s Cage, and War Storm—were New York Times and Spiegel bestsellers. She later published the high-fantasy series Realm Breaker, which also achieved New York Times bestseller status. Aveyard grew up influenced by The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, and LOST.
