Valija Zinck

Valija Zinck was born in Ingolstadt in 1976. She studied contemporary dance and improvisation and worked as a dance educator, choreographer, and teacher of creative dance for children and young people before turning to writing. Her books include “Jakob und die Hempels unterm Sofa,” “Penelop und der funkenrote Zauber,” “Drachenerwachen,” “Drachenleuchten,” and “Penelop und die zauberblaue Nacht.” “Penelop und der funkenrote Zauber” received the Ulmer Unke in 2017 and the Goldener Bücherpirat in 2018; “Drachenerwachen” was awarded the Leipziger Lesekompass in 2019.
