Uwe Dethier

Uwe Dethier was born in Kleve in 1959. Before working as a freelance translator and author, he was employed as a carpenter, stage technician, and lighting designer. From 1992 onward, he translated literature from English, Dutch, and Swiss German into German. For Voland & Quist, he translated a dialect novel into Standard German oriented toward spoken language.
