Ute Baur-Timmerbrink was born in Upper Austria in 1946. At the age of 52, she learned that her father had been an American GI. After an intensive search, she found him, but they never met. From 2002 onward, she volunteered with GItrace, a British organization supporting children born during the occupation in their search for their fathers.
