Ursula Wyss

Ursula Wyss is an economist (Dr. rer. oec.) and urban planner (MSc URP). From 1999 to 2013, she served in the Swiss National Council, where she was among other things a member of the Committee for the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy. She subsequently served on Bern’s city executive, heading the department responsible for civil engineering, transport, waste management and urban greenery. Through the “Velo-Offensive,” launched in 2014, she helped set Bern on the path to becoming Switzerland’s cycling capital. She also served for many years on the board of the Bern section of the Swiss Transport Club (VCS). From 2023 onward, she worked as an independent consultant.
