Ulrich Luz

Ulrich Luz (1938–2019) was a German theologian and professor of New Testament studies. After studying theology in Zurich, Göttingen and Basel, he taught Christian theology and New Testament studies in Tokyo. In 1972 he became a professor of New Testament at the University of Göttingen, and in 1980 at the University of Bern, where he was professor emeritus from 2003 to 2019.
