Ulrich Ditzen

Ulrich “Uli” Ditzen (1930–2013) was the eldest son of the writer Hans Fallada and Anna Ditzen. After working as a newspaper reporter, he studied law at the Free University of Berlin and later worked as a lawyer in Wuppertal and Berlin. In 2004, he edited the correspondence “Hans Fallada / Uli Ditzen: Mein Vater und sein Sohn,” presenting a selection of his parents’ correspondence, which had remained largely unpublished for decades.
