Ulrich Clement (Prof. Dr. phil., Dipl.-Psych.) was an adjunct professor of medical psychology at Heidelberg University and director of the Institute for Sex Therapy in Heidelberg. He worked as a psychological psychotherapist, couples and sex therapist, coach, and supervisor, and was a trainer in systemic therapy. He was involved in teaching and research at the universities of Hamburg, Freiburg, Heidelberg, and Basel, and co-founded the postgraduate program in sexual medicine and sex therapy at the University of Basel. From 2000 to 2001, Clement served as president of the International Academy of Sex Research. His publications included numerous specialist works on sexology, medical psychology, and psychotherapy, as well as the books *Guter Sex trotz Liebe* and *Wenn Liebe fremdgeht*.
