Tzvetan Todorov

Tzvetan Todorov was an essayist and scholar born in Sofia. He left Bulgaria at the age of 23. As a professor and later professor emeritus, he researched and wrote on literary studies, semiotics, politics, sociology, history, and philosophy. Todorov died in February 2017.
