Torben Kuhlmann

Torben Kuhlmann (born 1982) is a German illustrator and children’s author. He studied illustration and communication design, specializing in book illustration, at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and completed his degree in 2012 with his first picture book, “Lindbergh: The Tale of a Flying Mouse.” The book achieved international success, received several awards, and was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize. Kuhlmann’s other mouse adventures include “Armstrong,” “Edison,” and “Einstein.” His honors include the Luchs award, the Troisdorf Picture Book Prize awarded by a children’s jury, and the Children’s Book Prize of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2016.
