Tonio Schachinger

Tonio Schachinger, born in New Delhi in 1992, grew up in Nicaragua and Vienna. He studied German at the University of Vienna and Literary Writing at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His first novel, “Nicht wie ihr,” was shortlisted for the 2019 German Book Prize and received the Bremen Literature Prize’s sponsorship award. In 2023, Schachinger won the German Book Prize for his second novel, “Echtzeitalter.”
