Tom Lyle

Tom Lyle (died 2019) was an American comic-book writer and artist. He worked on several Robin solo series as well as Detective Comics, Starman, Airboy, The Punisher, and Mutant X. As both writer and artist, he created numerous Spider-Man stories, including work on “Maximum Carnage” and the “Clone Saga.” He also designed the costume for Scarlet Spider, the identity adopted by Ben Reilly, and contributed to Spoiler’s debut. Lyle taught at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
