Tom Holland

Tom Holland (born 1968) studied history and literature at Cambridge and Oxford. The British author and journalist became known through BBC programs about Herodotus, Homer, Thucydides, and Virgil. He wrote both fiction and history books. In 2004, he received the Hessel-Tiltman Prize for History for “Rubicon”; in 2006, he was awarded the Runciman Award of the Anglo-Hellenic League for “Persian Fire.”
