Tim Krohn (born 1965 in North Rhine-Westphalia) grew up in the Glarus region of Switzerland and works as a writer. His best-known novels include Quatemberkinder and Vrenelis Gärtli. His other works include the story collection Nachts in Vals, the Menschliche Regungen novel series and Die heilige Henni der Hinterhöfe. Under the pseudonym Gian Maria Calonder, Krohn published several crime novels set in the Engadin. His literary work also includes plays and opera librettos. Among other distinctions, he received the Berliner Open Mike, the Conrad Ferdinand Meyer Prize, the Swiss Schiller Foundation Prize and the Culture Prize of the Canton of Glarus.
