Thomas Fischer

Born in 1953, Thomas Fischer served as presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe until April 2017. He also became widely known for his annual commentary on the German Criminal Code, published in the Beck’sche Kurzkommentare series, and for columns in ZEIT ONLINE and Der Spiegel. His books include Über das Strafen, Sex and Crime, and Im Recht.
