Ted Hughes

Ted Hughes (1930–1998) was a British poet. He was born in Yorkshire and died in London. His poetry collections “Tales from Ovid” (1997) and “Birthday Letters” (1998) were awarded Whitbread Book of the Year in consecutive years. He was appointed Poet Laureate in 1984 and admitted to the Order of Merit in 1998.
