Tatiana Salem Levy

Tatiana Salem Levy was born in Portugal in 1979. She is a Brazilian writer and literary scholar. Her Turkish-Jewish grandparents emigrated to Brazil, fled to Portugal during the military dictatorship, and returned after the 1979 amnesty. Salem Levy studied literary theory in Rio de Janeiro and earned a doctorate on Maurice Blanchot, Michel Foucault, and Gilles Deleuze. Her debut novel, “A Chave de Casa,” became a bestseller and was translated into several languages. Her other works include “Vista Chinesa” (2022).
