Tanja Sappok

Tanja Sappok is a neurologist, psychiatrist and psychotherapist, as well as a university professor specializing in the mental health of people with disabilities. Her clinical and academic work has focused on mental health in people with intellectual developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, emotional developmental disorders, behavioral disorders and dementia. She has served as president of the European Association for Mental Health in Intellectual Disability (EAMHID) and as vice president of the German Society for Mental Health in People with Intellectual Disabilities (DGSGB). She has also published books and scholarly articles.
