Sven Stricker

Sven Stricker, born in Tönning in 1970, grew up in Mülheim an der Ruhr. He studied comparative literature, English studies and modern history. From 2001 onward, he worked as a freelance audio director, adapter and author, receiving the German Audiobook Prize several times. As an author, he is best known for the Sörensen crime novels. “Sörensen hat Angst” was nominated for the Glauser Prize in 2017 and 2024. Its film adaptation won the German Television Crime Prize and the Romy in 2021; in 2022, Stricker received the Grimme Award for the screenplay. As a director and adapter, he also created numerous audio drama and audiobook productions, including “Herr Lehmann,” “Pompeii” and “Night Train to Lisbon.”
