Sven j, Olsson

Sven J. Olsson was born and raised in Hamburg. After completing an apprenticeship as a bookseller, he studied at the University of Economics and Politics and graduated with a degree in social economics. He subsequently attended drama school and worked in theatre. He founded the Theater des Goldenen Westens and toured Germany with poems and chansons by Walter Mehring. His works include plays for children, young people and adults, the Bollywood musical *Die mutige Kanhar De*, and a dramatisation of Mehring’s novel *Müller. Chronik einer deutschen Sippe*. In 2009, he won the ThOP New Playwright Competition with *Die Mythenjäger*; in 2012, he was a finalist in *Stücke schießen* with *Die Richtigen*.
