Stephan Harbort

Stephan Harbort (born 1964) is a German criminal investigator and author. He worked as a senior police detective and taught for many years at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. He became known for his work on serial murder and criminal offender profiling. Harbort developed empirical investigative methods that were used internationally to help identify violent offenders. According to published biographical information, he interviewed more than 50 serial killers. He also advised television documentaries and crime series and published numerous books.
