Steffen Dix

Steffen Dix (born 1968) studied comparative religious studies and philosophy in Tübingen, Berlin, and Lisbon. After several years of research on Fernando Pessoa’s literary estate, he received a doctorate on Pessoa’s Neopaganism and use of heteronyms. Dix translated and edited several of Pessoa’s major theoretical works and published numerous scholarly articles. Together with Jerónimo Pizarro, he edited several books on Pessoa and Portuguese modernism. In 2015, he curated an exhibition on the Portuguese literary magazine Orpheu in Lisbon.
