Stefanie Schardien

Stefanie Schardien (born 1976) holds a doctorate in theology and is a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. Until 2013, she was a junior professor of systematic theology at the University of Hildesheim. Her other professional activities have included work in Protestant publishing and media, including serving as managing director for theology at the Gemeinschaftswerk Evangelischer Publizistik and as media commissioner of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany. She has also worked as a presenter of the ARD program “Wort zum Sonntag” and as a radio preacher.
