Stefan Beuse was born in Münster in 1967. He worked as a copywriter, photographer and journalist and published novels, short stories and screenplays. His literary work received several awards, including the State of Carinthia Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition and the Hamburg Literature Prize on multiple occasions. His novels Kometen and Meeres Stille were adapted for the cinema. His children’s and young adult books include Die Ziege auf dem Mond and Der Pinguin sucht das Glück, developed with Sophie Greve, as well as Die Einsamkeit der Astronauten.
