Sonora Jha

Sonora Jha grew up in Mumbai and worked as a journalist, including as head of the Metropolitan Bureau of the Times of India and as an editor at East Magazine in Singapore. She later became an essayist, novelist, and professor of journalism at the University of Seattle. Her essays appeared in the New York Times, the Seattle Times, The Establishment, DAME, and numerous anthologies. She also taught fiction and essay writing at several literary organizations in Seattle.
