Sonja Still

Sonja Still is a German journalist, author and filmmaker. She studied German and linguistics in Münster and began her journalism career at WDR after completing a traineeship. She subsequently worked, among other roles, as an editor and reporter for RTL before becoming a freelance author for television and print media. Her main subjects are travel and tourism, along with Bavarian heritage and traditions. In 2010, during the Ruhr region’s Year of Culture, she received the Grimmepott award from the Grimme Institute for a cross-media project on the theme of Heimat, created in collaboration with the LWL Museum Zeche Zollern. Her books include travel guides to Tegernsee, Miesbach and Schliersee, as well as “Bayerns Mythen.”
