Sonja Bougaeva

Sonja Bougaeva was born in Saint Petersburg in 1975. She studied book art and painting at the city’s art academy and later worked at an animation film studio. She subsequently attended the illustration program at the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Hamburg. Her books have received several awards, including the German Children’s and Young Adult Literature Prize.
