Simon Zumsteg, born in 1973, earned his doctorate in 2011 with a study of the poetics of Swiss writer Hermann Burger. He published essays and a collection of essays on Burger and curated the 2009 Zurich exhibition “Hermann Burger 1942–1989 – Nachlass zu Todeszeiten.” He also edited Burger’s works in an eight-volume edition published from 2014 and in 2024/25.
