Silke Brix

Silke Brix was born in Schleswig-Holstein in 1951 and studied at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences for Design. She began working as a children’s book illustrator in 1986. In 1987, she started a long-running collaboration with author Kirsten Boie, which resulted in numerous books. Brix also illustrated books and designed CD covers for Marko Simsa’s “Klassik für Kinder” series, which introduces young audiences to classical works and composers. She has one daughter.
