Siddharth Kara

Siddharth Kara is an economist and human rights activist. He taught as a professor at the University of Nottingham and served as a Global Professor of the British Academy. Kara wrote three books on modern slavery and received the Frederick Douglass Book Prize. His first book, *Trafficked*, examines conditions in the global sex trade and was adapted into a Hollywood film.
