Sibylle Lewitscharoff

Sibylle Lewitscharoff (1954–2023) was a German author. She published novels, stories, essays, radio features, and radio plays. Her debut novel, "Pong," won the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 1998, and "Apostoloff" received the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2009. In 2013, she was awarded the Georg Büchner Prize. Her first play, "Vor dem Gericht," premiered at the National Theatre Mannheim in 2012. Lewitscharoff was a member of the German Academy for Language and Literature and the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
