Shqipe Sylejmani

Shqipe Sylejmani was born in Prishtina, Kosovo, in 1988 and moved to Switzerland at the age of four. She studied journalism and communication in Zurich and worked as a journalist in Switzerland and New York. From 2018 onward, she was also involved in cultural promotion. Her debut novel, “Burden & Blessing,” draws on experiences of migration and journeys to her homeland. Her second novel, “Dignity and Forgiveness,” continues the story and explores the migration of Albanian people to different countries.
