Seirian Sumner

Seirian Sumner is a behavioral ecologist and professor at University College London (UCL). Her research focuses on the ecology and evolution of social insects. She has published more than 70 articles in scientific journals. Her work has received awards including the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award and the Zoological Society of London’s Silver Medal. She also helped establish a nationwide citizen-science initiative for counting wasps.
