Sebastian Seidel (born 1971) studied German, history and philosophy and earned a doctorate at the University of Augsburg and the State University of New York at Albany with a dissertation on Robert Musil’s novel “The Man Without Qualities.” He worked as a playwright and director and founded Sensemble Theater Augsburg, an independent venue for contemporary drama, in 2000. His work received the Augsburg City Art Promotion Award, the city’s Medal of Honor and Future Award, as well as several scholarships. His published plays include “Theater-Marathon. Zehn Theaterstücke,” “Tales of Two Cities” (co-written with Andreas Nohl), “Jakob Fugger Consulting” and “Klavierkind”.
