Sebastian Christ

Sebastian Christ (born 1981) is a journalist and author. He studied journalism in Munich and Washington, D.C., and future studies in Berlin and Kyiv. From 2005 onward, he worked as a political journalist, including as an editor for stern.de and Handelsblatt. As a crisis reporter, he conducted research in Iraq and Ukraine; he also lived in Kyiv for a year. His books include The Growl of the Tanks in Spring: A War Report from Afghanistan (2011) and I’m Only Here Privately: A Report from Ukraine (2015). He co-authored My False Brothers and Auschwitz Prisoner No. 2. He received the Axel Springer Award for Young Journalists in 2005 and 2009.
