Sean Murphy (born 1980 in Nashua, New Hampshire) is an American comic artist, writer, and illustrator. He studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and the Savannah College of Art and Design. He began working on comics before graduating, contributing artwork to titles such as Noble Causes and Star Wars Tales. His notable works include the graphic novel Off Road, PUNK ROCK JESUS, THE WAKE, JOE THE BARBARIAN, AMERICAN VAMPIRE, Chrononauts, and Tokyo Ghost. In BATMAN: WHITE KNIGHT and BATMAN: CURSE OF THE WHITE KNIGHT, he developed his own version of Gotham City.
