Saskia Fischer

Saskia Fischer was born in 1971 in Schlema in the Ore Mountains. She briefly studied German literature as well as theatre, film and television studies at Ruhr University Bochum and worked at various institutions involved in literary mediation. Fischer received a residency fellowship from the Berlin Senate for non-Berlin authors at the Literary Colloquium Berlin. Her poetry collection *Scharmützelwetter* was her first poetry book published by Suhrkamp.
