Sarah Wiener

Sarah Wiener (born 1962) is a German-Austrian chef, cookbook author, entrepreneur and television cook. She grew up in Vienna and learned the culinary trade in the late 1970s at the artist restaurants run by her father, the writer Oswald Wiener, in Berlin. She became known through several cooking programmes and cookbooks. In 2007, she founded the Sarah Wiener Foundation, which promotes healthy eating among children. She entered the European Parliament in 2019. Her work has also focused on sustainable food production, animal welfare and biodiversity.
