Sarah Welk

Sarah Welk is an author. Before turning to writing, she worked in a range of jobs, including as a supermarket cashier, kitchen assistant, advertising clerk, nanny and cloakroom attendant. She later worked for many years as a news editor. Her bibliography comprises more than 30 picture books, children’s books, nonfiction books and books for young readers, some of which have been translated into other languages. In 2026, she was named Reading Artist of the Year by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association.
