Ryszard Kapuscinski

Ryszard Kapuściński (1932–2007) was born in Pinsk and worked as a foreign correspondent and traveling writer from the 1950s onward. He worked across Asia, the Americas and Africa and received numerous awards. His notable works include The Soccer War, Imperium, The Emperor and The Shadow of the Sun. Kapuściński died in January 2007.
