Ruth von Braunschweig

Ruth von Braunschweig (born 1943) studied biology and chemistry and qualified as a biologist specializing in marine biology, as well as obtaining the second state examination for teaching chemistry and biology. As a research assistant at the Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine at the University of Kassel, she worked on a project addressing stress management in competitive athletes. After training as a naturopath, she focused on aromatherapy and the study of essential oils and plant-based carrier oils. She taught dermatology, product science, aromatherapy and phytotherapy for many years and headed the holistic skin care department at a school for cosmetology and naturopathy. She also served for many years on the board of Forum Essenzia e. V., later becoming an honorary member. As a seminar leader and lecturer, she taught in Germany and abroad. She published several specialist books and articles on aromatherapy, plant oils and biological skin care.
