Ruth Leiserowitz

Ruth Leiserowitz (born 1958) worked as a library and publishing employee and as a translator. From 1990 to 1996, she studied history and Polish studies in Berlin and Vilnius. She subsequently worked as a research associate at the Thomas Mann Cultural Centre in Nida, Lithuania, until 1999. She received her doctorate in 1997 and completed her habilitation in 2007. She also taught at Klaipėda University and worked on research projects at Humboldt University of Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin. She has published extensively on the history of Eastern Europe.
