Rudolf Frieling

Rudolf Frieling was born in Leipzig in 1901. In 1922, he was one of the founders of the Christian Community. His professional work took him to Leipzig, Mannheim, Nuremberg, Vienna, and New York, among other places. He moved to Stuttgart in 1955 and became chief leader of the Christian Community in 1960. Frieling published numerous books and journal articles, including studies of the Old and New Testaments. He died in Stuttgart in 1986.
