Robert O'Neill

Robert O’Neill, born in 1976 in Butte, Montana, served as a Navy SEAL for 16 years. He took part in 12 combat operations and more than 400 missions. During the covert operation Neptune Spear, he shot al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. He received 52 military decorations, including two Silver Stars. In 2017, he published his memoir, *Der Operator*, which became a *New York Times* bestseller.
